Chris Northover has the magic

Welcome to the team!

Hi!

The first time I saw Chris Northover doing his thing, I didn't know it was Chris Northover.

Way back in 2014 this film popped up on my YouTube feed.

I immediately started internet window shopping for Osset kids electric motorcycles.

And then I realised there are not many abandoned embassy buildings where I live.

And the only time I can ride as well as that is while I'm dreaming.

Occasionally you come across films that have a little magic, that arrive at just the right time, that find a way to live with you long beyond their original intention, and Chris' is one of them.

So imagine my delight when a chipped toothed, ponytail surfer looking dude introduced himself to me at ABR last summer.

The one and only Chris Northover, who has graduated from small electric stunt bikes into producing some of the most trusted motorcycle content on YouTube - Bike World TV.

There's few riders out there who have the insane skills to show how an adventure bike can be ridden to its limit, and the humility to pair that with conversations about what regular old plodders like you and me might want out of our own adventure bike ownership.

Take his latest film for example.

Now, there's not a chance in hell that I'll be riding our Himi 450 up a mountain in a hard enduro.

But when Chris talks about that bike having a certain something - that 'little bit of magic' again - that makes it stand out amongst its peers, well I know what he's talking about.

I may only push our Himi to half of what it's capable of, but I know that magic feeling that Chris is talking about.

I'm thrilled that Chris has agreed to work with Adventure Spec this year, having a rider of his calibre choose to wear our gear is true endorsement of our quality and performance.

Plans are afoot so keep an eye out for Chris appearing on the Adventure Spec YouTube channel soon.

And if you are new to Bike World TV, go find the subscribe button.

Great to have you on board Chris.
