I remember seeing the early prototypes for the KTM 690 (and GasGas ES700) luggage racks.
I think my first thoughts were something along the lines of 'oh we've made a suit of armour'.

The fuel tank in the rear end of that bike was a curious challenge for our design team and engineers to work around, but the end result was worth it.
Sleek, strong and versatile.
So it was great to see that design DNA make its way across to the new KTM 390 Adventure / Enduro.
The KTM 690 kitted out with our Hard Parts.
The 390. Smaller bike, same DNA.
Our new luggage racks take the same principle as the 690, and create a stable luggage mounting platform that helps you keep your panniers solidly attached to your bike, without swinging into the rear wheel, and with zero bounce.
It's super easy to strap your luggage directly to the racks, they are designed with adaptability for all kinds of mounting systems from a wide range of brands (check out our luggage rack mounting guide here).
The Rieju 307 is tiny.
Now, the Rieju Rally 307, that was a tougher nut to crack.
You wouldn't think it from the photos, but in the flesh this bike is tiny. Steve in our team describes it as a 3/4 size bike.

I think that's what makes it so easy and enjoyable to ride, it feels like a CRF300L that's been down to the gym.
Just as un-intimidating, but a little bit sharper.
A little bit more fun.
But harder to design luggage racks for!
Jim our product manager didn't let up though and our team worked out a super neat solution.
I think that mounting larger panniers may be a bit of a challenge, just due to the size of the bike, but for anything up to a Kriega OS 12 will work well.
The Kriega OS12 or smaller are a good fit.
Today we launch our new Hard Parts for the Rieju Rally 307 and KTM 390 Adventure/Enduro.
Crash bars, skid plate, luggage racks and navigation mounting for your multi-day lightweight adventures.
It's wonderful to welcome these bikes to the Adventure Spec hard parts family.
Our team are currently working on the Kawasaki KLE 500 (I'm looking forward to showing you more later in the year).
But we still haven't made our mind up about the BMW 450GS yet.
