A Dakar classic, reimagined for the road.

The original Mongolia and Atacama Jackets were designed to help Lyndon Poskitt complete the Dakar Rally (twice). Lyndon tackled tough off road stages, but also needed to ride thousands of road miles on liaison sections. For 2025 we've updated the Mongolia Jacket and Pant 2,0, taking all the tech we developed for tough rallying and adapting it to make it more suitable for CE AA adventure touring.

Built for hot weather adventure touring.

The Mongolia Jacket 2.0 is designed for long distance adventure touring and trail riding in hot climates. It's light, comfortable and creates maximum airflow through the jacket. It's built for very hot riding conditions where the lightest, most breathable protection is required.

Jim also wears the Mongolia In-The-Boot Pant 2.0 and Alpine Gloves.

Designed to keep you cool.

The nylon 6-6 low snag mesh features a loose weave pattern. This promotes a huge amount of airflow through the fabric whilst retaining the durability and abrasion protection required for adventure riding. The jacket is literally see through!

"I guide tours through Morocco all year round in a range of conditions, and it can get HOT in the desert. The Mongolia Jacket and Pant 2.0 have worked well for me, we have to put on a lot of road miles so it's good to be protected, but the breathable fabric really comes into its own in the sand when the sun is beating down. My clients have worn the gear too and so far it's holding up to our wear and tear.  I'm more than happy to recommend!"

CE AA Rated.

Highly abrasion resistant 1000D ballistic nylon is used in key abrasion zones along the shoulders, elbows and hips. Removable Flow level 2 armour is included in the shoulders and elbows. Add Flow back armour for extra protection (or use your own).

Moisture wicking.

The demands of riding off road can mean you could be working hard one minute and stationary the next.

The inner mesh of the Mongolia Jacket 2.0 is designed to maintain comfort in these extremes by absorbing moisture away from your body and quickly wicking it across its surface.

When riding the evaporation of this moisture from the lining in the breeze will help cool the body, when stationary the evaporation takes places away from skin reducing the cooling effect.

Hidden hydration.

The large rear pocket includes an internal clip and can be used to store a hydration bladder. The hose can be routed up to either chest pocket where the mouth piece can be kept within easy reach and out of the way of dust and dirt.

Positioned low on the jacket a rider can still wear a smaller rucksack for a camera or snacks.

Note: Hydration bladder not included.

Easy access fluids.

Easily access water from the rear hydration bladder via internally routed hose. The mouthpiece exits neatly through a hole within the chest pocket. No need to wear a rucksack.

Note: Hydration bladder not included.

"Btw, I love the gear! The day after I received the a Mongolia jacket, I rode from San Francisco in 56F to Sacramento where I had to run errands for 4 hrs in smoggy 100F. Then jacket performed flawlessly! Thank you!"

Breathable level 2 Flow armour.

The Mongolia Jacket 2.0 features the new Adventure Spec Flow level 2 armour. The elbow and shoulder armour is extremely light, flexible and breathable, working with the loose weave fabric of the jacket to encourage maximum airflow.

Unlike 'flat armour' alternatives, Flow shoulder and elbow armour retains its body mapped shape and stays in place while riding. It is thin, extremely comfortable and creates a feeling of confidence.

Full back coverage.

Optional Flow back armour is available in two sizes. The Mongolia Jacket 2.0 back armour pocket is adjustable and can receive either our shorter or longer Flow Back Protectors.

The huge honeycomb venting of the Flow back armour complements the breathable fabric of the Mongolia Jacket 2.0 to create masses of airflow.

More pockets.

The Mongolia Jacket 2.0 features extra pockets that are more suitable for longer distance road and trail adventure motorcycling. On the rear is a large stash pocket designed to accommodate gloves or a waterproof jacket. To the front, four pockets provide ample storage for cameras, phones and travel documents.  Or shades 😎.

Jim also wears the Adventure Spec Classic Cap.

Rear stash pocket.

A large rear pocket is sized to accommodate a waterproof layer. The double opening makes it easier to pull the extra jacket layer in and out.

"My Mongolia jacket is my favourite jacket for warm days, and not so warm days with a layering system. It is under-stated, in a non-'look at me, I'm in a race' kind of way, whilst offering great protection and great durability. I wear it as an outer, armoured layer, or as an armoured layer with a warm mid layer and a waterproof jacket on cooler days. It's very versatile."

Black or white.

The Mongolia Jacket and Pant 2.0 in storm colour (white) was developed in response to customer requests for riding kit that would help minimise heat absorption in very hot and sunny conditions, much like the white robes that beduin travellers use in the desert. The black version is for those who require a more toned down look.

Keep the wind and rain out.

Add the Aqua Pac or Singletrack Jacket for a fully water and wind proof solution. When paired with a waterproof layer, the mesh fabric traps air and expands the operating temperature range of the Mongolia Jacket 2.0.
